MAHATMA GHANDI ~ (1869 - 1948 - Assassinated) Philosopher - Statesman and Pacifist Civil Rights Leader for the Independence of India from the British. The Ten Mantras (in bold) are the headings of Ten Chapters in the BOOK *The Gift* Ten spiritual lessons for the Modern World from my Grandfather Mahatma Ghandi. Written in 2007 by Arun Ghandi who learned much from his Grandpa.
1. USE ANGER FOR GOOD ~ We are all angry
but we must channel it POSITIVELY !
2. DONT BE AFRAID TO SPEAK OUT ~ Against things
You know to be wrong ~ Speak out for the underdog !
3. ALWAYS APPRECIATE SOLITUDE ~ Its
when we*re alone Truth comes into focus !
4. BE AWARE OF SELF-WORTH ~ The value of
oneself ~ highlights the Value of Others !
5. LIES CLUTTER UP YOUR LIFE ~ Be aware
of the TRUTH of the things you believe in !
6. WASTE (OF ANYTHING) IS VIOLENCE ~ Violence
to the EARTH and also to the NEEDY !
7. PRACTICE NON-VIOLENT PARENTING ~ If You
strike Your Child ~ He in turn will strike others !
8. HUMILITY IS STRENGTH ~ Pride has something
to lose. Humility has everything to gain !
9. FIVE PILLARS OF NON-VIOLENCE ~ Respect -
Understanding - Acceptance - Appreciation - Compassion
10. EXPECT TO BE TESTED ~ Survival of
the Fittest Rules ~ OK ~ Oppose at your Peril !

BRIAN HERE ~ Good Monday Uncle Steve ! GHANDI wa born into a Hindu Family and remained a devout Hindu all his life. He was influenced by Christianity and shades of the Sermon on the Mount and Fruit of the Spirit can be seen in His Teaching. He was a very Christlike Figure and we shall meet Him in Glory ~ AMEN. Non- Violence, is the most potent way to fight
