How do you manage to be strong?
When I’m unraveling at my seams,
You’re the one with the problem,
Yet I’m the one hurting it seems.
I want to be strong like you.
Stand valiantly by your side,
But just the thought of losing you,
Has me red around my eyes.
I feel selfish for crying.
I’m not the one in pain.
But I hurt when you hurt.
We’re family same and same.

- Comment from author about the poem: My next couple of poems will all be about the same topics. I’m sorry if it becomes tiring but it’s all that runs through my mind lately.

The ties within family can be so strong that the hurt can be felt by all.

Very much so. Poetry is my healthy outlet to express my deepest emotions. Currently going through a rough patch in life which I’ve explained in other poems. So I use this to get some of the thoughts out of my head. Thank you for stopping by though, I hope to see you around more.
