LORD

LORD

I sit in silence staring at the books upon my shelf

Books that have taken me on a journey to find myself

A dusty unopened book sits between Lolita and 50 shades of grey

I look longingly at it knowing it will not be read, there it will forever stay

I’ve already found my Lord and no out-dated bible will take that away from me

I don’t need those words which so many taken for granted, I want to be able to see

My Lord found me when I fell into the deepest darkest of places

My Lord showed me the path to follow leading to enlightened places

My Lord expects nothing from me yet together we smile to each other

My Lord, my guide, spirit, love, Mother, Father, Sister and Brother

That dusty tomb I own is the re-written, remastered remix of an original

So it has long lost its real meaning, direction, focus, truth and signal

My Lord sees my beauty beneath my black skin and judges me not

I love my Lord and in return loves my female soul, our love will never be forgot

My Lord’s words resonate deep into my every breath

We talk for hours and never ponder on the biblical version of death

You live in tune with the symphony of your bible yet without a conductor

I live mine knowing my heart has found its home never needing anything more

My Lord you are true to me and never need me to pay a church admission fee

Because our understanding between Lord and I is unshackled, open and free

ANGELA HERE - Good Day DIANE - Thanks for sharing a very beautiful & spiriual second Poem. What it tells Me is that you have found the LORD - & He has found You ~ wihout the aid of any Priest or Church or the BIBLE ~ but that the LORD has chosen to reveal HIMSELF to YOU ~ AWESOME !
As your Poem relates - The LORD does seek & find US when we are LOW and shows us the PATH to Inner Peace we should follow ! The LORD is everything to YOU ~ He sees your Inner Beauty and takes time to talk with YOU and restore your SOUL ! You and Your Lord resonate in Spiritual Harmony. Love this Poem because this mirrors the relationship I too have with GOD ! I have saved it as a FAVE ! Please check our POEM on COVID 19 Masks - called *MASQUERADE* Thanks A !

    Peace & Joy & Happiness

i have no belief in jesus or any god at all, it is clear to me that is an organised business model used to create money using scare tactics to instill fear in its believers. my lord is my heart. my lord is guiding me through life as i work out where i am and what my purpose is. my heart is untainted and provides me with the enrgy to live a simple but fulfilled life. theres way to many gods to truly believe they are real, surely if god exists there can be just one but youll see there are too many to honestly take any of that for the truth. i need not worry about religion as it isnt my baggage to carry, thank you for your comment - Diane

Refreshing to read you have found a worthwhile spiritual essence which is not restricted by falseness nor tainted by a shameful history as is identified in the establishment christianity/catholicism.

my heart has truly allowed me to follow my own personal spiritual path. i do agree with the falseness of the religion you state. maybe made to control weakened souls. Diane

I can relate to your words Diane, My Spirit is with me and will always be with me. I have dismissed others in organised religions who try and show me a different way through organised religion.
May YOUR God go with you.

my heart is my spirit kind of a spirit guide just one that does not bow down to a god or reluigion. i m glad your spirit is always with you as is mine. my heart will go with me. i use lord in respect for an elder guiding me rather then a god of some made up bible. i have learnt more about me from the other books in my library. kindly, Diane
