Lost at Sea

Roselyn

i tend to like the beach in the winter

when the wind sends chills on my arms

when the water touches my feet

like ice

the cold .. it makes me feel

Alive

i like the solitude

i like watching the people walk by

bundled up in their cotton sweaters

walking idly with their feet caressing the water

as if they are searching for someone

for something

a feeling perhaps

...

i imagine what there thoughts must be

i imagine what they are escaping from

is it reality?

an unfaithful companion?

themselves?

or are they mourning?

the loss

the unspeakable loss humanity endures

oh, the possibilities

humanity never ceases to amaze me

and well the ocean

it never fails to mesmerize me

so i sit for a little longer

as if im lost at sea

Walking beside water can bring such calming effects within you.
