In my long life
I have had ups and downs,
But the ups far outweigh the downs.
My life has been so fortunate,
So that in my old age
I can say to all,
Every new day
Is a reason to smile.

Good for you. I only wish it were so for everyone. I'm blessed with the same joy de vivre as u are but i do see people who appear miserable for no apparent reason.
There may be clouds in the sky but the sun is shining as bright as ever right behind 'em.
Yes there are people out there who appear miserable but often a kind word or deed will bring them to a happier place.

Yes, so very long us for us two - since before 1066 at least! lol.
No way before that Orchi, I can still remember you and your pet Brachiosaurus back in the Jurassic period.

Ah yes, and we were already on the moon ages ago, to meet the first Earthlings. We remember coming round the corner of the moon to shake hands with them on their arrival.
I've an anniversary next year. The former Reading Abbey opened 900 years ago then. Was you there in person with me, for its opening in 1121? It's closed often now, in case bits of stone fall on us from a great height.
GOOD SABBATH UNCLE ANDY - Angela here. We love all your eclectic music and the posoitivity in your Poems. Love slow & nostalgic Piano Music - It gives me an incentive to Learn more and I know I can manaage the pace of this lovely haunting tune. Brian & I love Saturdays because it gives us a whole day to potter together and for me to bond with Smokey ! Love the Poem. Even looking back on my short (32 years) life I can see that the good days sure outweigh the bad ones by at least 95% for which I am very thankful to God & My Family and latterly BRIAN ! Keep smiling & enjoy another HAPPY DAY ~ AMEN !
Blessings & Happiness to You & Yours
Love Angela - Brian & Smokey Cat !
your poem was a reason for me to smile today. Diane
