THIS POEM ~ Is presented in a Modern Style ~ We are telling it like it is with no flowery or superfluous foliage ! However because we are *Performance Poets* it has a strict meter and verse structure. Three octets in 8 8 10 8 10 8 10 8 meter. There is some incidental rhyme ~ but no strict rhyme pattern. Love BRIAN & ANGELA.
I come to the Garden alone
While dew is still on the Roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
Creations joy discloses !
Now we have got our first Home & Garden
With Trees & Flowers resplendent
And a veggie patch ~ what more could we ask
The experience ? Transcendent !
The Garden ~ is great for Smokey
Safe place He can roam on his own
Waterfall gives the sound of the country
It feels a pollution-free Zone
The Birds all come down to the Pond to drink
Smokey watches but dare not touch
Our Garden ~ microcosm of NATURE
There is no Rabbit in a Hutch !
You*re nearest Gods heart in GARDEN
No Bells - Smells - Stained Glass to distract
Our GARDEN shows all of Gods Creation
Every day ~ what more could we ask !
We*ve got Trees an Oak an Ash ~ and a Pine
Slippery Elm Tree ~ that hard to climb
We*re not overlooked its a Paradise
Smokey will scare off Rats & Mice !

I think it is great the way you wrote this piece. Personally, I definitely think that this is one of your best poems. Tell me. Did you plant this garden? Again, this is an excellent piece.
Walk with Christ in the garden.
Jesus saves.
Persistence is key
BRIAN HERE ~ Good Sabbath Dion ! When we got married four months ago (during LOCKDOWN !) we bought the house which had a garden but very neglected. There was a pond but weve added a waterfall and also weve added a veggie patch and some soft fruit trees ~ Raspberries ~ Gooseberries and Blackcurrents ina Fruit Cage to keep away the Birds. Ive been off work three days a week so plenty of time to sort our the garden ! We both love the Hymn and because Church is closed we worship in the Garden invite 2 or 3 people and have Bible Study & Prayer ! Sometimes the neighbours join in the singing *Over the Fence !* We have posted another
fusion ~ abut the Bible ! *TEN MANTRAS ABOUT THE BIBLE* Please choose ONE and add a Poem thanks.
Blessings - Love - Peace & Joy
Love in the Spirit - Brian & Angela !
Lovely write and clip A&B.
But - aww, I too sing in the garden. Me neighbours chuck buckets of water over the fence at me! doh!
ANGELA HERE ~ When will you ever learn UNCLE STEVE ~ NE CHANSON PAS ! Thanks for your positive comments ! One thing I can assure you is *WE shall all be changed and when you get to Heaven you*ll be able to sing like Sir Ken Dodd ! So ask your Family to stick a tickling stick in your GRAVE ~ AMEN
Blessings to You & Yodeling Yido
Spiritual Love ~ Angela & Brian XOX
You know some fly into a rage about Ken Dodd - you should do too sometimes. I mean, YOU are paying your taxes too. Well, he did not take it with him!
This reminds me of my parents garden. They spent hours together making it theirs. My flat doesn’t have a garden but I have some window boxes with Tulips in. My mums favourite flowers were tulips. Thank you for reminding me and writing a peaceful bouquet of words. Diane
ANGELA HERE - Thanks DIANE - Brian & I were living in separate flats before we got married - wirh Window Boxes ! BUT both our parents lived close so we could enjoy their gardens & animals ! Being 32 & 36 (and with help from our Parents !) we could afford the deposit on a *House with a Garden* and the mortgage ! Brian was only working two days a week (on full pay) during Lockdown so he had time to renovate the Garden & acclimatise Smokey - our first CAT ! It is a first Marriage for both of us and our first House ~ very exciting ! TULIPS are AWESOME we*ve been to the KIRKNEHOFF Gardens near Amsterdam to see them in all their GLORY !
Blessings & Peace to You & Yours
Love ANGELA & BRIAN & SMOKEY XOXOX
I am jealous of Smokey!
A wonderfully rhythmic work, I especially like the element of possession within your depiction of nature, less abstract idealism more: grounded and real,
the feeling of raw earth on fingers, nourishing that much sought after peace of mind, through your garden of tranquillity.
Such a positive and uplifting message
