Who can understand their errors?

Faults, sins, guilts, and their terrors

Cleanse me from secret faults, I pray

Lead me on in your sure way

 

Keep back your servant here also

Presumptuous sins [may I] not know

Let them no have dominion

Over me here, no, not one

 

Then shall I be upright, intent

And I shall be innocent

From sins great, many, that offend

Unto me here your grace tend

 

Let the words of my mouth, here see

And heart's meditation be

Acceptable, LORD, in your sight

My strength, redeemer, true light
