Coffee Girl

Tayama

So much coffee today...

She says, "It's going to be a long one"

What once was dreaded has become hours of what's now been undone...

"You smile a lot more these days baby"

I do, unbeknownst to me, most certainly...

"Don't turn away when you do, I need to see the new you"

How does this sad, lost soul come to be hers...?

It's all been such a blur...

"Baby put on another pot"

All the senseless battles that I fought...

The scars a lot less visible these days...

And the malaise?

Evaporated by her gaze...

"Is it ready?

Yes, and here's your cup...

For a woman that refuses to wear make up...

Things are sure looking up...

"I told you they would baby, as soon as you stopped saying maybe"

Love appears even to the weary and done...

Even those shun...

She told me. "I waited for a lifetime, our smiles have just begun"

I'd better get going, its almost 6, time for another coffee run...:)

    May your smiles never fade.

"I'll have an Americano please." LOL
