Tune: University
('The church of God a kingdom is')
Psalm 71 parts
************
LORD be my strong habitation
And to all, each nation
Where I may ever still resort
By you be led and taught
Cast me not off in time, old age
Passing through life's each stage
Forsake me not when my strength fails
Your power still avails
I will go in your strength, LORD, praise
To you I shall up raise
I will speak of your righteousness
Turn to me and me bless
O God, from my youth you have taught
Me, and have sure me sought
And hitherto I have declared
Your wondrous works, well-fared
Now when I am old, grey, forsake
Me not, may I partake
To show your strength to those now here
And [to] those who shall appear
My lips shall greatly rejoice, they
Shall sweet songs sing and say
I sing to you, my Redeemer
Who does save souls for e'er

Thanks Don.
Thanks Orchidee for this wonderful poem and reflection on old age.
As I read this I thought of my father 81 years old and going strong.
Keep writing ✍ and safe during these challenging times.
