Sidewalk Cracks II

SheWasTheSun

The sidewalk burned my feet
As I watched you leave
On the coldest August day
The two of us had ever seen

I stared at the cracks
And the weeds growing through
And I prayed that our love
Might push through the pavement too

I just finished Part 1 and now I'm crushed. I hope this is fiction and you guys are still good.
Apart from that it's a nice little poem with a strong hopeful outlook. Chin Up. - Phil A.

Thank you Phil! I actually wrote this one first about a moment of heartbreak- then wrote part 1 as a reminder that we have been through worse and risen again. Just happened to post them in a different order. I think they are actually interchangeable, depending on how the story ends.

Your love will push through, love is so powerful.
