THE BRITISH ~ Are besotted with Horses ~ Horse Racing - Gymkhanas - Shire Horses - Dartmoor Ponies & Equestrian Olympic Medals ! A Middle Class Young Lady*s First Love is always a PONY.  And many a Young Mans addiction to Gambling always starts with *The *Orses !* The photo shows A Beautiful Pair of Suffolk Punches drawing a plough in our very Rural Neighbouring County ! The VIDEO shows the AINTREE GRAND NATIONAL 2019 ! It was quite close to where I (BRIAN) lived & My Dad (A Newspaper Man) used to take Me to watch the Horses comming over Beechers Brook ~ AWESOME ! The Course has been made much safer !  The use of live Animals in the Circus is controversial (as is  Fox Hunting) but a CIRCUS SANS CHEVALS ~ A CIRCUS is NOT ! Love ANGELA & BRIAN 🧡🤍💙

The POEM (in Blank Verse - iambic pentameter) reflects our Middle Class upbringing. Angela had Lessons in Equestrian Skills and always rode in Spain in the Holidays. The Spanish word for Gentleman is CABALLERO (A Horseman !). I (BRIAN) learned to ride in Wales staying on a Farm with Relations. My DAD first took me to Watch the Grand National - @ Aintree Liverpool - in 1990 ~ when MISTER FRISK won IN A RECORD TIME of 8 mins 48 secs. He was riden by a Amateur MARCUS ARMYTAGE ~ who was educated @ ETON ! Horses are in our Blood and a Love of Sailing & all things Equestrian are two of the many things which makes ours  an ideal Marriage. Some of you may object to the Grand National ~ Horses & Jockeys only get injured (as in all Sports ~ which keep Physios in a Job !) and soon recover. Stables like Newmarket make extensive use of Hydrotherapy as we do for Horse Riders !  We may change the Video for Ladies Day @ Aintree when you can see a different breed of Filly !
