Positively Prospering

Tune: Laudate Dominum

('O praise ye the Lord')

Psalm 112

*********

Praise you the LORD, blessed are they that do fear

The LORD, with reverence draw to Him near

They that do in His commands greatly delight

Descendants shall be mighty and have true light

The generation of upright they shall

Be blessed, have wealth and riches and fare well

Their righteousness endures for ever, so be

Prosperity outcome of their life shall see

Unto the upright there arises light

In darkness, they shall see clear and have sight

They are gracious, full of compassion, righteous

Blessed by God, they a blessing to Him and us

Good people show favour, and they do lend

And to their affairs with discretion tend

They shall no be move ever, they stand steadfast

The righteous' remembrance, it ever shall last

They shall not be afraid, evil tidings

Whatever they hear, nor of troublous things

For their heart is fixed, in the LORD Him trusting

Heart established, assured, His grace he will bring

They shall see their desire on enemies

They distribute to the poor, so each sees

Their righteousness endures ever, their strength shall

Be exalted with honour, so shall all tell

The wicked shall see, and they shall be grieved

Their plans not come to pass, what they conceived

Against the righteous, but they shall melt away

Wicked's desire perish, righteous' victory day
