All through our lives
We are told of things in the past,
The battles that have been fought
To get us where we are today.
Those who rule our lives
Exalt those who put them,
Put them where they are.
Praising them for winning,
For winning and creating a path.
A path where they now lead us,
Lead us into a life,
Where THEY think it is right,
They impose their ways on us all.
But just suppose,
Just suppose,
That in history the winners of battles
Got it wrong,
And the losers were right,
I wonder where we would be today?

As far a HISTORY is concerned it is always BIASED by the writer or film maker / recorder etc ~ in favour of His / Her own Country - Class - Creed - Culture & Club etc ! You have to look @ both sides to get a mre OBJECTIVE PICTURE of History !

Such a shame so many are afraid to look at that historic book in the way you describe, yes the bible.... why were so many gospels left out of it and banned on pain of death by the early roman church? - To make sure future generations were kept blind to the whole truth of course.
So true d a, there are so many truths that we have missed from the past that have been deliberately concealed by those in power.

You pose an interesting question Andy, one that many of us have asked from time to time.. I personally think the question needs to be asked.. but there is often a big discrepancy between actual historical events which make up history and desired alternative outcomes ... obviously there are undesirable events, those we would rather forget or wish never happened .. but there will always be sore losers and sadly.. the rich and powerful will always have a loud voice ....
Thank you Neville, the rich and powerful always seem to get it their way. Maybe one day our lives will be led in a true way where only the right things are done within them.
