Freckles

Neville

Freckles

The fine gold necklace

She always wore on

Those foreign holidays

Never failed to catch

The sun

And seemed, it seemed

To throw back a smile

At almost everyone

With each shallow rise

And subsequent fall

Of those ever so lightly

Freckled breasts, of hers

Those she did keep hidden

By the way,

Neath flimsy cotton camisole

Though more recently

Sun kissed and even now,

Still fervently blushing ….

Oops, she had freckles where the sun don't shine. Well, not quite that place.
If I met her, would I discover she had freckles? Ya never know! lol. And am I talking out of that place where the sun don't shine?!

You are a silly sausage orchidee ... 🙂

Ah - - big smiles for resurrecting those intimate freedoms of sunny yesterdays Nev. - your verse neatly freckled with memories allures and stretches this reader's momentary blush of such recollections too..............

wonderful, the last two stanzas are some of my favourite I have read on MPS,
quirky, full of jest and winking phrases, but also a respectful tone which adds a classy touch

Too kind you are and truly true... But one things for sure.. I thank you 🙂

There is something light hearted and youthful about frekkles regardless of a ladies age. The contrast of tanned and untanned borderline so arousing on intimate revelation.
          Well..... works for me anyway!

Love the instant familiarity you place in your reader with these insightful snatches of what is so easily taken for granted. It's as if you pluck the fruit from the tree and say "hey, actually look at this will you".
