Her Eyes Have A Color

John Snowdon

Her Eyes Have a Color!

Her eyes have a color,

A wonder and my focus yesterday.

Inescapable, Unattainable

She simply takes your breath away.

Her eyes have a color,

Go ahead—try and name.

Indescribable, Undeniable

And nothing that age may tame.

Her eyes have a color,

As Beauty’s beckons batters boldly

Unrequitedly, Uncompromisingly

A lofty grace that exceeds the sea.

…her eyes have a color…

Maybe dewdrop green with vesper gray?

Inescapable, Remarkable

And after 20 years still takes my breath away….
