Tune: Webb
('Stand up, stand up for Jesus')
Psalm 83 parts
**********
O God, keep not you silence
Nor hold your peace from hence
Be not still, your enemies
Make tumult, each agrees
To exalt selves against you
Crafty counsel anew
They have taken against your
People, the faithful sure
They said, Come, let us destroy
Israel's nation, our ploy
So it not be remembered
Nor help on it conferred
They consulted and conspired
To cut off, their hearts fired
Their aim to defeat us, true
Lord, they fight against you
Make them like th whirling dust
Your enemies they must
Submit to you, none greater
Shall be soon or later
And cause them your name to seek
To serve you, humble, meek
So JEHOVAH your name great
They shall know, royal state

the having of enemies is not recommended and when or wherever possible , I would propose setting the free .. but with some caution since once bitten, twice shy...
I like how you seem to have kept the olde terminology and used it to good effect....

Thanks Neville. It's them pesky Philistines and other enemies again!
Good one Orchi.
Thanks Gold.
Hi Orchidee,
A good powerful write.
God is at his most strongest at work in us when we are under enemy attack.
Keep writing ✍ and safe during these challenging times.
