As we go through our lives
Both good and bad come into them,
Sometimes the bad seem to outweigh the good.
But then it could happen
That the bad can open our eyes,
Open our eyes to the good,
The good that we had never considered,
Never considered before.

Good write Gold. It may be we could take the 'good' for granted sometimes get too cosy. Then something 'bad' causes us to see the contrast, and we appreciate the 'good' again.
Thank you Orchi. Yes you may well be right, we may well take the good for granted and we need something to to pull us back into appreciating it.

Yes the Violin & the Harp & the Classical Guitar can all weep if played SYMPATICO ! Love the message in Your PoemEven the best ordered lives have their balance of Good & Bad. Just as in the Culinary Arts there is SWEET & SOUR the one ameliorates and compliments the other. So it is in life the BAD enables us to evluate & appreciate the GOOD. How boring life would be if EVERYTHING was Sweetness & Light & no pain or sorrow - VERY UNATURAL & NO CHALLENGE ! Thanks for sharing.

At times we have to experience the bad in order for God to shine his goodness in the long-term arising from our difficult experiences.
With Covid 19 there are certainly lessons to be learnt from this globally.
