One Heart.

Goldfinch60

I stare deep into her eyes

Straight into her heart,

The love between us

So very strong.

My love for her has never failed

In all the long time

We have been together,

That love strengthened every moment,

Every moment of our lives.

Her eyes look back at me

Deep into my heart,

The love between us

So very strong.

Her love for me has never failed

In all the long time

We have been together

That love strengthened every moment,

Every moment of our lives.

I pull her into my arms

But she is not there.

Once more I was dreaming,

Dreaming of the love of my life,

Taken from me,

Leaving me alone

Without her.

Leaving me with nothing but memories

Memories and dreams,

Dreams of our life together

And knowing that we will be together,

Together again,

Where eternity will keep us together

Looking into each other’s eyes,

Bring our hearts together,

Together as one,

One love that has,

And will,

Never fail.

What a poignant work of art. A declaration of unadulterated love pulling the reader in. Then the beloved is gone, only left in the recesses of the memory. This is really moving, Goldfinch.

Thank you Seek, that love for her will never fail.

I'm with Seek ... I dont think I could have put it better, but then I have often admired the seemingly absolute unconditional love and devotion you maintain for your own special lady Joyce , and that is, despite the obstacle of life that only presently separates you ...

Life comes with no promises of fairness and we must make our own judgements about the fairness we have found in life.

It seems few experience the love of a true soul mate which, reading between your lines, you have shared in life. Cruel and sad that you are robbed of this bliss without doubt. Fairness? Is it the price of kudos?
I admire you in so far as, here on this side of your life changing loss, you see love and beauty in all that surrounds you together with that which has passed from you.

              • Goldfinch60

Thank you d a, yes love and beauty is always around us. I see it and hear it every day.
