L EAVES are natures indicators ~ GREEN to RED
E VERYONE recognises ~ GREEN for GO ~ RED for STOP !
A UTUMN allows us to slow down ~ from the hectic SUMMER
V ERY hectic (despite COVID) Holidays - BBQS etc etc !

O CTOBER ~ NOVEMBER & then WINTER ~ DECEMBER # SINTA

a very timely post indeed .. I was only recently posting about autumn myself and it hardly seems a whole year has passed since the last time I was doing just that ...
I enjoy acrostics but hardly ever pen them as I find it hard to be so numerically constrained or tied ..

A & B here - Thanks NEVILLE - pleased you enjoyed it ! Autumn is such an amazing SEASON we have to get our Poems in early before its WINTER & C*R*S*M*S again. Modern Poetry (Free Verse) has no constraints - so it is MUSE LED rather than STRUCTURE led as in Classical Poetry. We like ACROSTICS & SONNETS because they limit the number of lines ! We especially like Acrostics because structurewise they provide the First Letter of each Line !

and winter comes
thankfully we are not there yet but a great write nevertheless.
a perfect description of my 2nd favorite season,my first being spring because the newly budding flowers remind me that all can be reborn in the blood of the lamb.

SPRING (as you say) Speaks of Spiritual Regeneration through Christs Atonement on the Cross (EASTER)
SUMMER in all its Splendour speaks of the Eternal Glory of the TRINITY ~ Father ~ Son & Holy Spirit & nurturing the WORD of GOD
AUTUMN speaks of *Reaping a Harvest of Souls* from the *Sowing in Spring* and the Sun & Watering in the Summer - *WE shall come rejoicing - bringing in the Sheaves* AMEN !
WINTER - While the Earth slept waiting for the next Spring ~ THE INCARNATION ! When it was just the right time GOD sent HIS SON - Born of a Virgin - Born in a Stable - Born to be the Redeemer of the Whole Human Race ! CHRISTMAS 2020 ! 2020 years since the Birth of Christ ! You may have noticed that those of us who are BORN AGAIN - through faith in Christs Atonement - are already mentioning CHRISTMAS ~ because we cant wait to spread the GOOD NEWS of the Incarnation ~ EMMANUEL GOD WITH US ~ AMEN !
