New Appetite.

Fay Slimm.

New Appetite.

A lust full of Karma passed and

eagerness lessened.

The honied moon of strong passion

a weaker light shed.

Love turned the pages to lies until,

cage ajar the bird fled.

Rules stifled new appetite yet revived

was no false pretense.

Lit again female eyes noted hunger that

quenched thoughtless neglect.

Prized then the nectar fired by another with

not one sign of regret.

We must always move on in life when one chapter of our book finishes.

Agree wholeheartedly that moving on sometimes seems the best way - many thanks Andy for your continued support of my efforts at poetry.

A story of regret, repair, revitalisation and readiness. Life's rich tapestry. What resilient things we are to over come such hurt as love can bring. Such a powerful driving force is this pairing desire within us all.

I truly agree with your thoughts on the subject of New Appetite D.A.- -- we none of us know how romance will turn out and how love can hurt once we are attached.......... thanks so much for your visit and welcome comment.

Life is a series of changes. One must keep going through it all. "And the butterfly flapped her wings" as a result of a tornado 3 days previous. One event leads to another. "Regrets" should never be felt, when making ones path through life.
Enough philosophy. Another lovely poem, Fay, and somewhere a butterfly is flapping her wings. - Phil A.
