Tune: Song 34

('Forth in thy name, O Lord, I go')

2 Timothy 4 v.6-8

*********

Paul said, I am now ready to

Be offered, Lord, my life to you

Time of my departing at hand

You give me grace to understand

I have fought a good fight, and I

By your help I you not deny

I have finished my course, my race

Now to leave earth for better place

I have kept the faith, and from now

There is laid up a crown, 'tis how

The Lord, the righteous judge rewards

Crown of righteousness me affords* (*gives)

At the last day it me shall give

He, Lord of life, does ever live

Not given only unto me

Also to all who love Him, see

    Good Write there orchidee. Don

Love the parts in the Biblical Narrative where Paul's unique gifts of debate shine through. That guy could stay on track and keep it simple and to the point.
