Tune: St Gertrude
('Onward, Christian soldiers')
Revelation 19 v.6-9
*********
Voice of great multitude
This John sure he heard
Sound of waters many
Mighty thunderings be
Saying, Alleluia
From all near and far
For the Lord God unfeigns
Omnipotent reigns
Chorus
Praise our God, you servants
You be penitents
You that fear Him, great, small
Join in praises all
Let us be glad, rejoice
Give glory, one voice
To Him, for marriage here
Has come, does appear
Marriage of Christ, Lamb He
Bride His people, see
She His wife has ready
Made herself, so be - Chorus
In fine linen arrayed
There she be displayed
It clean and white, whole, pure
Made out of the store
Of righteous deeds of aints
Without sin, no taints
Perfect, acceptable
She hears Bridegroom's call - Chorus
John did write, Blessed are they
That be called that day
To the marriage supper
Of the Lamb, it sure
These be the true sayings
Of God, word He brings
All-powerful ever
Loses strength never - Chorus
