Tune: Angel Voices

('Angel voices ever singing')

Psalm 76 parts

**********

In Judah is God known, His name

Evermore the same

His name great in Israel be

Strong and whole and free

In [Jeru]Salem His tabernacle

Is, He dwells midst His people

There He breaks the weapons of war

Bow, shield, sword for sure

he more glorious, excellent

Thant mounts high ascent

Proud are spoiled, the mighty fallen

God e'er stronger than all men

He is to be feared, reverenced

Here His presence sensed

Who may stand in His sight, when He

Once angry shall be?

His gives judgements from heaven sent

Let us worship, penitent

He did judge to save all the meek

The lowly He seeks

Surely wrath of man shall Him praise

It shall ne'er Him faze

The remainder of wrath shall He

Restrain, mighty God He be

war used to be so simple in the old days didn't it .. when bows, shields n swords were all the rage .. now it's a different kettle of fish altogether with weapons of mass destruction in the hands of a handful of power crazed narcissists ...
