I long for those days
Timeless and new
The rain tapping our window
The darkness outside covered the room
I felt invincible
Like all of eternity was mine
In my hands held the key to life itself
My seemingly endless life
Now every moment I hold
Falls between my fingers like sand
And covers the nightscape outside
The darkness now shades
While my eyes no longer adjust
I am no longer invincible

Good emotive write, but realising that you are no longer invincible can make you stronger and move on into your life with that new found strength.
