FARMERS & POETS ~ A PANTOUM !

ANGELA & BRIAN

THE CORN IS READY - RIPE ~ Beneath the Branches

The Fields are blanched with hazy heat

In English Farms or on Mid-West Ranches

Too hot for walkin* in bare feet !

The Fields are blanched with hazy heat

The Combine Harvester is primed

Too hot for walkin* in bare feet

Each Season with My Poetry is Rhymed !

The Combine Harvester is primed

*Reap while you May* before October Rain

Each Season with My Poetry is Rhymed

*Rhyme while you May* Muse may not stir again !

*Reap while you May* before October Rain

A Farmers Life ~ follows the Seasons Rules

*Rhyme while you May* Muse may not stir again

A Poets Life ~ for Jesters & for Fools !

A Farmers Life ~ follows the Seasons Rules

On English Farm ~ or on Mid West Ranches

A Poets Life ~ for Jesters & for Fools

THE CORN IS READY - RIPE beneath the Branches

Very delightful read! Perhaps, I’ll try writing one myself!

Thanks ROMANTIC pleased you enjoyed ~ easy to write - BUT - Remember in the last verse Line THREE of Verse ONE becomes Line TWO of the final Quatrain & Line ONE of Verse ONE becomes Line FOUR of the final Quatrain. In this way every LINE is repeated ONCE and the Poem *begins & ends* with the same LINE ~ OK

Blessings & Joy & Peace to YOU & YOURS

Good write B&A. 'The valleys stand so thick with corn, That even they are singing'. Lines of a hymn - cue for harvest-time poem or two from me?! Too early yet? Or Harvest - mid-Sept to mid-Oct?

Your pantoum does credit to the early rising of farmers and gathers and dear duo your rhyme adds flavour to the needed harvesting so top marks for thinking of those working hard to get what is ripe before October rains begin.

YES INDEED FRIEND ~ We cannot move Our Muse ~ Our Muse moves us ~ We cannot write Poetry to ORDER ! When runing *Poetry Classes for Seniors* ~ If I give them a week to write in a STYLE (say ACROSTIC) I get 100% return. However if I give them a SUBJECT say BRIDGES ( get a reduced return (say 66%) some say ther *MUSE was MUTE* and others write On *CONTRACT BRIDGE* because that was an interest !
