In the
stilled air
of midnight,
where silence
echoes bitter
tears of
yesterday,
haunting a
captured mind
seeking pains
of release.
Once more,
as i fall
to sleep,
she finds me,
placing peace
upon me
in the meadows
of where
and when.

May that peace be filled with the wonderful sound of the saxophone playing gently in the background.
Andy
An amazing instrument with so many voicings.
Good write dusk.
Such a tender blessing of memories ooze from your lines - love than never gets lost in the years of loneliness deserves words like these my friend - a pleasure to read your versing of "love beyond" -
How our dreams can bring such peace and contentment...... and if we wake within such a dream.... then we experience that quite wonderful feeling of loss as our actual brainwaves change from sleep mode to the conscious..... slowly the marvel of a dreams euphoria slips away as we are no longer able to grasp the understanding of how we viewed the circumstance....... all the more amazing because once again in sleep we may visit those exact same scene and circumstance.
Thanks for your kind comments, pleased you enjoyed this.
ANGELA HERE - Afternoon DARK - Love the melancholy & throaty SAX ideal partner to this poem. Such Poems when put into print mode centre and look slim - we call them El Grecos.
We all experience sleeplessness from the *Tears of Yesterday* then mercifully into our Dreams come someone who brings Peace to our souls! Brian & I are still in our Honeymoon Period (6
Months!) but the Pain in our sub-consciousness' will take time to erase! Thanks for sharing a beautiful but thought provoking Poem.
Blessings & Peace & Joy
Love Angela - Brian & Smokey !!!
