Mineral & Water Cycles ~ each Plant & Animal sustains

BRIAN HERE ~ Thanks Uncle ANDY for a thoughtful but sobering reply. The forces of Nature and the Scientific Principles on which She works enable Her to oppose *Man Made Constraints* and restore EQUILIBRIUM as stated in Le Chetalliers Principle ! This is of course why - by almost doubling atmospheric CO2 ambient Global Temperature has increased from 15 to 16C with disastrous dlimate change etc. In DAs Programme tonight on EXTINCTION it was pointed out tht Man is responsible (or should that be irresponsible ?) for the extinction of Thousands of Species on Planet Earth since ti Industrial Revolution. Our FEAR is that the way we are going that this might include MAN himself ~ hoisted wih His own Petrad of Greed & Ignorance ! The USAs ather cavalier attitude to Global Warming is reaping the *WEST COAST in flames* with loss of life & property. Because NATURE is a proactive Physical System it will always prevail in the end - with dire consequences for MAN if we dont get our act together !

Maybe he would see the agony of the recipient when a mother insect lays her eggs inside a living being so that the young may eat alive their host from inside. Maybe he would see thousands dieing in famine, tempest, war, pandemic whilst others worship a divine omnipotent god creator who is in total control of all.
One wonders then.... what questions might the alien be contemplating.... i doubt it would be 'how quick can i get my hands upon a copy of the bible so that i may enter into and unreal state of mind so that i may ignore pertinent questioning'.
Thanks Dusk for another intersting & reasoned critique. Brian & I know enough Natural Science to see there is Beauty - Purpose & Order in the Natural World. Beause we are *Theists* we also believe in Design & Creation which necessitates A Designer & Creator who we believe (wth the Jews) is Yaweh as revealed in the BIBLE (OT & NT). However for Billions - Like Yourself - who are *A - Theists* you see Beauty - Purpose & Order in Nature through Natural Selection & Evolution WITHOUT the need for a DESIGNER ~ GOD who you claim WE (Humanity) have invented to explain the complexity & intricasy of The Origin of Life - The Natural Cycles and The Unique Physical Conditions that prevail on Earth. If there is *Life* elsewhere in the Universe (Our Alien had to come from somewhere !) We would say God chose to create LIFE elsewhere in the UNIVERSE ~ You would say *The conditions were right & it evolved spontaneously just like it did on EARTH millions of years ago !* To each His / Her own belief !
GOD is in complete control He is transcendent & imanent in the Affairs of Man & The Universe - and of course Planet Earth in particular. Hiowever (We believe) GOD created Man with the intellectual ability to control & care for our Planet & Environment ~ but we have let GOD DOWN BADLY. The Earths resources (if we lived in Harmony with Nature & Peaceably together) are more than sufficient to feed - clothe & house 7.5 Billion and even 15 Billion Humans. The things you mention Famine - War - Climate Change (due to CO2 increase & Global Warming) and COVID 19 etc are ALL CAUSED BY MAN ! So God leaves us to sort out the GLOBAL MESS we have gotten ourelves into. Some times I wish I was 82 instead of 32 - The future isn*t Orange its very DARK GREY. Brian & I are putting off starting a Family until the COVID 19 Pandemic is sorted with a Universal Vaccine !

Good Afternoon - DUSK - Sorry we should have said A-Christian ! Its a question of Semantics ! When Paul visited Athens he saw they believed in MANY GODS so He erected an Altar to *The Unknown God* and told them about Jesus & The Trinity. Nature is indeed *Red in Tooth & Claw* that is how the Food Chains & Food Webs operate to maintain Life on Earth. Its the same with Religion. Today is the 400 Anniversary of the sailing of the Mayflower in September 1620. Why did the Puritans want to Leave Englnd because they were being persecuted by The Church of England ! Churh History is not all SWEETNESS & LIGHT ~ because Christians (of all Denominations) are HUMAN we are nor ANGELS but ANGELS (English) and do stupid things like all HUMANS. I guess most People in the UK who are not Members of a Major World Religion are THEISTS of some sort and believe in DEVINE BEINGS whom they call GODS . I (BRIAN) was raised as a Devout Evangelical Christian and am now a Church Decon and see no reason to CHANGE ~ but as a Committed ChristianI must defend my Faith. Lions do kill & eat Impalas but that is how the Food Chain works. When we were in South Africa we too ate (Humanely Killed) Impala Meat. And even our Veggie Friends grow & kill carrots. ANGELA was raised a Devout Catholic but now works with Me as a Youth Leader and a Member of the Evangelical Church. Again especially as she is in the Healing Profession She sees beinga Devout Christian as an asset to Her Role as a PHYSIO ! You could argue that had we been born into Muslim or Jewish or Hindu Families we would have practised aother Faith and married someone else ? However as Teenagers both of us made a decision - independently - to continue to be Committed Christians and to Work & Worship in our respective Church. Angela still attends the Catholic Church from Time to Time (as I also do) with Her Parents. Because I was Deacon Angelas Parents were quite happy for Her to become a Member of My Church when we got Married. So as Christians we are (LIKE THE QUEEN) Defenders of the Christian Faith & like Orchidee (and Others) it does influence some of our Poems !
