Tune & Hymn: 'Peace, peace, Jesus is here'
Mark 12 v.41-44
*********
Jesus by treasury
In Temple sat, did see
How the people cast in
To offerings therein
Saw the rich cast in much
Others gave such
Such as they did each choose
Each one, Jesus He views
Then a poor widow she
Her offering it be
Two mites, they a farthing
Yet everything
Everything that she had
Though with poverty clad
Jesus said, Truly she
Poor widow though she be
Has cast in more than they
All gave that day
For they of abundance
Surplus, well-off finance
They gave of that, but she
Cast in all she had, see
She gave more than they all
Grace did not stall

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 6.6.6.6.6.4. metre. Maybe say it, as I can't find a clip of the hymn. It's rather an obscure hymn, and more sung by 'High Church'. I don't know any other songs with this exact metre. So I can't say 'Sounds like.....[name of song].'
