At the beach 🏝 one summer's day,
As the cascading waves rolled on by,
We sun bathed together, sun up high,
As the sunshine slowly slipped away.
Yes, we peacefully passed the day
We smiled at the beautiful deep blue sky,
At the beach 🏝 one summer's day,
As the cascading waves rolled on by.
How delightful were the seagulls at play
In the sands, darting into the skies
Scavenging food then off they would fly.
At sunset we marveled the ocean’s waves
At the beach 🏝 one summer's day.

- Comment from author about the poem: Rondel ! Last time I went to the beach a group of seagulls raided a beachgoers bag of chips , and ate the whole thing! By the time they got back to their blanket, the seagulls we’re gone!

Yes it was fun ! Most of all were the birds Flying and dolphins bobbing in the water!
Even saw a crane dive into the ocean!
Good write of happy days RB.
Yes, happy days especially after being cooped up all these months!
Thanks for stopping by
it's all fun and games until they mess with my 'Wotsits': then it's out with my arrow kit,
and I would never, ever - harm more than than one seagull - at a time! ha, those nature lovers ain't got nothing on my empathy spectrum..
lol, sorry to mess around in your comments, I'm just in a goofy Friday morning mood (Wotsits are scrumptious cheesy snacks/crisps btw)
good write
Thanks Mek, what a fun response from you!
You are no Cupid, but wotsits sounds delicious to sling an arrow or two!

Seagulls are fun to watch, but not when they raid your lunch! LoL
