Gospel Given

Tune: Herongate

('It is a thing most wonderful')

Romans 1 v.16-17

**********

Be not ashamed of the gospel

Receive it for yourself, and tell

Others too, show in word and deed

That Christ is the Saviour indeed

Gospel is the power of God

To save, Christ His Son earth has trod

To make it possible, 'tis for

Everyone that does believe sure

To the Jew and the Greek it be

Whether you Jew or Gentile, see

For in the gospel is reveled

[The] Righteousness of God unconcealed

It be a matter of faith, for

It is from faith to faith e'ermore

Those made just by God, they shall live

By faith, and they shall Him praise give
