Compromise.
I shall find bluebirds adorning my sky
after today,
knowing tomorrow waits
holding assurance to dry bleary eyes,
healing the whys
of today with promise of change,
offering faith
to a much bruised heart that refuses
negation of love.
I resist relegating us to yesterday's
pyre and will renew
after today more affirmative smiles
knowing belief will stir
tomorrow, not beaten by housing
defeated doubts,
but ready to reconnect our
togetherness as love's abundance
opens to compromise.
After today yesterday's dull ache
may then become numb.

Having considered these words already, and several times before breakfast ..
I have swiftly concluded that your authors note is really redundant .. and that you get a BIG YES from me ... most thoroughly enjoyed ..
Ah - sending big smiles and thanks for your consistent support in reading my work and double-bless ya Nev for your generous comment on my posting of Compromise........... x.
Good write Fay.
Thanking you most sincerely dear Orchi.
Positive affirmations that love never dies; and troubles of yesteryear are forgotten
Yes R.B. we can all do with a bit of positive affirmation on the meaning of love's foreverness - thank you indeed for your visit and comment.
Love's renewal, bringing "bluebirds" of tomorrow, along with an "abundance" of love. Hopefully more than a "numb"ness. Hope abounds in this write of renewal as "tomorrow" gives rise to expectation and answers all of "yesterday's" questions. Sometimes "compromise" is the only answer. A lovely poem, Fay. - Phil A.
Ah - you found all the positive vibes in this short tribute to compromise which heals as it shows us the best way to move forward when love becomes open to doubt............... your encouragement is really appreciated my friend and thank you for your input to Compromise.
I did enjoy, thanks.
So pleased you dropped by for a read dear Trenz - - glad you enjoyed the subject I tried to outline in Compromise.
Tomorrow will always bring us hope and wonder Fay.
Andy
Yes I do agree Andy - - tomorrows offer us much if we but hope for the best. Thank you for your read and wise comment on Compromise.
My Dear Fay,
What a pleasure to read your scripted words. A timely subject matter indeed. Heeding your well chosen scripted words, makes the reader reflect upon his/her own personal situation...and I believe what we hope for tomorrow will be today’s reality.
Your letter may be ‘imagined’;
but it’s message is not!
I thoroughly enjoyed the read.
Thank you for sharing your gifted pen.
Have a splendid Sunday.
All the Best my Dear Poetess.

A massive thank you for this very encouraging comment dear Laura - - so pleased you enjoyed the read of Compromise and yes I agree that our tomorrows are mostly coloured by our attitude to what happens today - - really good to have your input again dear friend.
