Beautiful Sunflower

Jacob Mead

Red, brown, orange, or gold.
Your colors always seem to unfold.
Your beauty is something that everyone beholds.
Something that I wan to cherish, something I want to hold.

You always sing your brilliant and joyful tune.
The Sun is there to listen, the Earth too.
Your music brings happiness to all that want to hear.
Until clouds appear, and with it, tears.

Solemn days and nights of the rain, not thought of hope, just pain.
You see no end, until the clouds to see the sun smiling once again.
His warm rays envelop you in bright happiness once again.
Your smile appears again for all to see.

His strength can give you power,
because nothing can stop my beautiful sunflower.

Good words about a magnificent flower.
My next door neighbour has quite a few of them in his garden.

You poem the glorious Sunflower so well here my friend. It certainly sings its own beautiful tune throughout the summer.
