Goldfinch60

Why does it happen so often?

I sit here reading poetry,

Writing poetry ,

Listening to music,

When it happens.

Music comes on

That just stops me,

Stops me reading,

Stops me writing.

I am taken to a place,

A place where life is wonderful,

That wonder created by music.

It has happened again

As this magnificent voice

Flows to my soul,

Bringing such music to me,

To my mind,

To my heart .

Once again music shows itself

Shows itself to me,

And brings me to peace,

To peace in my world,

As I know music is there

And will always be there,

Be there for me.

'If music be the food of love, play on...' About the only line of Shakespeare that I know! Fido says I might swoon in love, so not too much music for him. He's a pest! lol.

yup, I think Music be the breath we inhale through our ears, keeping us alive - as much as that oxygen we are so dependant on...

Thank you Fay. I consider myself so fortunate in that music has been with me all my life and i have my Dad to thank for that.
