Long Days

Whimsical_1

Why do the days seem so long?

The kind where you just sort of trudge along

The kind that make you look outside

And wish you could take it all in stride

The monotony,

The loneliness,

The unequivocal phoniness

Of the current state of life

Half of people pretend it’s a joke

That the whole damn world is buying a hoax

They party and play as if catching its desired

But we’re eight months in an I’m feeling tired

Tired of the hurt

Tired of the pain

Tired of the way this is making me insane

I miss my family

I miss my friends

I want this whole fucking thing to end

But it can’t

    I feel your pain.

I think it's something that everyone is going unfortunately through at this point. ๐Ÿ™

Ah but it will, just you wait and see... you are not the only one who feels frustrated by all thatโ€™s going on... I suspect most folk are eager for a return to a sense of increased normality... In the meantime I enjoyed my introduction to your writing... Stay safe n well,

      Neville ๐Ÿ‘

You are right, It will eventually pass. But while we are in this predicament, it does seem like a lifetime. Thank you for the encouragement.

Yes long days of frustration indeed and thank you for versing the reasons why most of us are at this moment just trudging along -- but agreeing with Neville that time will pass and an end will come to this troublesome state of life. I look forward to reading more of your work.

You are very welcome. Im glad that I could give voice to a feeling that is very much communal right now. I agree, Neville is right, it will pass. Thank you for the kind words!

That frustration can get us in many ways but writing words on a page can ease the boredom. This time will pass and all will be well once more.

I agree Andy! Writing the words out makes it all a little more bearable.
