Laughter For All.

Goldfinch60

I was just coming back,

Back from getting my paper

When I saw them.

A dad pushing his young son,

Pushing him in a pram.

The young lad looked at me,

A smile come over his face,

He waved to me.

I waved back,

The young lad started laughing

Still waving,

His dad started laughing,

As did I.

All laughing together

Showing the wonder,

The wonder and glory,

That the innocence of childhood can bring,

Can bring to us all in our lives.

Spontaneous laughter for no apparent reason is amazing, so uplifting. Makes you wonder why we dont all see smiles and happiness on all the faces we encounter..... wouldn't life be a lot nicer?

    • Goldfinch60

Very true d a, funnily I went to the coffee bar I go to later in the morning and there was a mother and young child there and the child also waved and smiled at me, the mother and I both laughed. Maybe I am spreading laughter, lets hope it spreads faster than this covid debacle.

Made me think of Alf Garnet when they painted a picture on his bald head, everyone laughed at him and he didnt know until he got home and looked in the mirror.

On the other hand, we get grumpy looks from people, even though THEY are going the wrong way on one-way streets. Can't these people read? Or at least see arrows painted on the pavement?

        • Goldfinch60

Thanks Orchi, yes there can be many grumpy people but we need to change that. "Smile it confuses people!"

the way it ought to be ....

I say bring it on .... you should write a book of observations Andy ...

              • Goldfinch60

Thank you Neville, it is just that I observe so many things and many of them form words in my mind.
