From the flicker of ashes love did burn
Smoldering ever so quietly in place
She gazed at his smile and he in return
Spied something new written on her face
His heart started Beating he felt the rush
His soul didn’t quite understand the feel
A burning ember within made him blush
Trickling throughout Him with zest and zeal
In his eyes She could see the fire within
and she knew she must ignite the passion
Puckering her lips she walked closer to him
Kissed him gently, softly ,in sweet fashion
Though once extinguished their flickers remained
From the ashes, Smoldering love did flame

A bouquet of romantic reasons why flicker remains once love has fades - well done with this lovely sonnet dear Dove.
Thank you dearest Fay, much appreciated!
I can't imagine how I could possibly inspire anyone or anything .. and certainly nowt as beautiful as this magnificent sonnet ..
but I aint gonna argue ...
I'm just gonna sit back, smile inanely and blush all over ....
Awe, you poem was touching, so many relationships fade, so my tender heart
Always seeks Hope!
Thanks for the Inspiration
ANGELA AQUI - HOLA ROMANTICA - Gracias por esta Sonata d*Amor ! Love is like that it ebbs & flows with circumstances - But it is never totally extinguished ! Sometimes I come home shattered physically & emotionally because of the demands of my JOB (PHYSIO). The ANGST of my Clients flows into me and my TLC into them ! Brian is an excellent Chef and restores my Body & Soul with a glass of Rtoja and a medium-rare Steak ! Then all it takes is one Long French Kiss to restore my Libido _ AMEN
Blessings & Peace to You & Yours with LOVE

Awe dearest Angela, you are a tender hearted soul, and it sure takes a lot of
Compassion to care for others, and luckily
You have a Wonderful relationship to nurse
You back to peacefulness! Of course Passion comes with the package! You two are equally blessed!
Thanks for stopping by! Best to the Trio!
Wonderful write RB, love can rise from many a spark.
Andy
Yes indeed, thanks for stopping by Andy
wonderful demonstration of natural flow coexisting with established Poetry forms,
those dying embers within love need only a gust of luck - to reignite: our weary hearts
Gust of luck , sounds mighty fine! Thanks sonnets are usually my favorite format and I’ve got the knack for them! I have been trying out new formats so my poetry doesn’t sound too familiar
Thanks again
