Come to me Lord, and search my heart

And show me what the part

You have for me, for all, each day

Lead me on in your way

 

Where slow to act, grant me your grace

To go at even pace

Along your way, not aimlessly

But in your footsteps be

 

Help me, help us, to trust always

In cloudy or bright days

And through the darkness shine your light

Light of the world, give sight

 

Not that we of ourselves are heard

But still your living word

Spoken through us, your message clear

Your love you us endear

 

Not that deeds of ourselves are done

But done through you, the one

The one who is the Father's Son

Comparable to none

 

So all our doings, words, and deeds

Help us, that each one heeds

Your will, your purpose for us, so

We each more like you grow
