Another Year Gone.

As I step in the shower this day

Another year of my life swims away,

A year I would rather have missed

When my loved one passed from me.

But that year has now gone

And my new year of birth starts.

As the old year drains away

I look forward to the new year

And know that all will be well.

As I now look forward,

To another birthday next year.

      Yes I will be there In fact I will move from Sussex to Kent for the weekend as i am staying down there for the weekend.

      Let us all of a certain age hope we shall see the next birthday without the threat of covid 19 or similar hanging over us and our loved ones.
      How much we miss life's simplest of pleasures when our movements and mingling are under restriction.

          Brilliant that this year is ending with you viewing the future with a degree of positivity, I don't think it matters how 'complete' our lives are at any given moment - we are all missing something or someone: but it does make a difference in how completely engaged we are in the now we have been gifted,
          I wish you a year of good health and for those inevitable stumbles you encounter to be as inconsequential as they can be, cheers! 🥂

              Oh lol, one of my brothers and his girlfriend, go to the 1066 town too, usually for Fireworks Display - but I don't think it's on this year. Though the organisers may say 'Cooeee, we're here; it's on!' Well, they might not say 'cooeee'. Oh do shup up Orchi, says Fido!
