A Puddle on the Path

everlong

Im trying to retrace my steps

Find where I had missed

To right my wrongs

With whatever righteousness I can give

But the tracks are fading

And my mind keeps me waiting

I have to keep moving forward

Before there is nothing more to live

No longer should I regret

Or give in to the sorrow

Ill keep my head up

And learn to forgive

The puddle only grows larger

When I weep for tomorrow

I just need to cross before its too deep

A drowning I wont have to relive

I can relate to the feelings in this very much. And the need to cross before it is too deep.

Never look back although those bad times have given you the experience to move forward, and in moving forward those puddles will diminish and eventually dry up.
