We wend our way in our lives,
Heading for the future
Along the route we have planned.
That journey is filled with joy
As we travel that path,
But sometimes there is a glitch
And the road seems to be blocked.
We may struggle to get around it
But eventually we will,
As in our lives,
Our beautiful planned lives
Sometime it happens,
That life interferes with our life.
What we need to remember
In all the times we go forward,
In our beautiful planned lives,
Sometimes life just happens.

- Comment from author about the poem: I know that The Uneducated O.A.P. wrote about this yesterday, I wrote this yesterday morning before Bill had published his poem so it is a coincidence that we had the same thoughts in our old minds.

Good write Gold.
Yes, like literal paths or tracks through life. On tracks, they are fine when it's dry, but muddy when wet. I had to turn back - some huge puddles in places, covering the whole track.
Thanks Orchi, even in turning back you can always find another way forward so that you eventually end up on the right path once more.

Yes, I had to trace my steps back, then continue on terra firma (pavements).
This is so very true Andy sir.. the trick is not to give up and to maybe appreciate the beauty and joy that can be found in the looking for new routes and paths .........
So true, we must enjoy the life that is around us and that new life that we find as we travel in our time.

I'll second everything that Neville eloquently said!
wonderfully uplifting message to share Andy
Thank you LB, we must always enjoy and get on with whatever life throws at us.

Famously john lennon said "life is what happens to you whilst your busy doing something else".... so true.
Life brings all sorts to our door if we open it..... and from reading your words many times I think your door is definitely open.
Thank you d a, John Lennon was absolutely right, and yes my door is certainly open to my future life.

It's funny but when Jay was alive I could navigate all kinds of problems but it all seemed do-able because he was there somewhere ... it's only now that he is gone that I wonder how I got through some of it...... good one Andy......
Jay was obviously a person who went through life and not worrying about any troubles that got in his way, he could do that because he had you Lorna to give him the love that showed him how. He is still there and will be there forever.

just keep moving forward with our eyes on god,we will be ok.as my loving husband says Persistence is Key
Persistence surely is the key, we must always keep moving forward.

ANGELA HERE - At the end of another busy Day all safely negotiated ! Good End of Day Uncle ANDY ! Thanks for the VIDEO ! There is nothing quite like *Classical Music* played by a Full Orchestra ! My parents used to take us to Classical Concerts when we lived in London and they had an Upright Grand Piano and encouraged me to have lessons. It is only by playing an instrument or singing Choral Music that you fully appreciate Harmony & Metre etc.
Your elegant Poem rings very true in my own experience. There are many obstacles in life & love which impede ones progress. However one learns to get round and over them and in some instances tunnel through them ! Where theres a Will there is always a Way. Much of my job is encouraging my Clinets to bounce back from immobility to mobility and from loss of manual dexterity to regain it by exercise and the use of specially OT Equipment. As in most avenues of life it requires humility & perseverance ~ AMEN Thanks for sharing a soupcon of Goldfinch Philosophy !
Blessings & Peace to You & Yours
Love Angela - Brian - Smokey ! ! !
Thank you Angela, keep moving forward.
