Raptoring.

Fay Slimm.

Raptoring.

Watching with bird pride.
Working the cliff-side.
Looking for noon fare.
Freezing in mid-air.
Revolving fierce eyes.
Swooping he nose dives.
Spreading one tipped wing.
Clinging to nothing.

Avoiding sharp beak.
Emitting loud squeak.
Running one small shrew.
Seeking no wrong move.
Missing  the bird soars.
Trailing with closed claws.
Drifting thru' coast line.
Waiting for next time.

Raptoring Kestrel.
At what he does best.

All raptors are wonderful to watch and the hovering of a kestrel is divine.

Nice one. These birds are really exciting to watch. I saw one being hassled away by a swarm of sparrows a few years ago.... another (falcon i think) fly at low level coming the other way, above the correct lane too lol, as i was driving.... momentarily it looked me straight in the eye. They of course have a far more enhanced eyesight than us mere humans.
          I wish i could fly.
          Exhilarating read.

Ah to meet eye to eye with such masterful raptors must be something to keep close in the memory D.A. - - - nature is full of surprises for us humans if only we slow down and take a look............. am glad you found the read so exhilarating.

ANGELA HERE - THANKS FAY for Poetic excellence in Form & Function ! Two Octains & a Coublet all in perfect metre & rhyming doublets - perfection. Such perfection in penning is warranted by the Subject - A Kestrel in flight - a beauty to behold. It gives us a glimpse of the interplay of the intricate Food Chains & Food Webs that function in the Biosphere ! Thanks for sharing - love the photo !

Blessings & Peace & Joy with Love
