Waving at Dolphins
On sunny days
yes ..
such as these
The West Bay
fishing boats Turandot,
Chris-d-Anne, Anatolia and Little Em
Each curtsy
bob and bow and sway
on tame and tireless harbour waves
Then
dance a little private waltz
determined ..
As those
timeless silver lunar rays
to tell a tale of children chasing dolphins

Picture me, sat on the quayside seeing this exactly as you describe, obligatory spliff between my fingers lest i should be blind to this vision. A smile of contentment across my hungry mouth as the munchies begin to nag.
Took me into a fanciful state of mind as was once so accessible from a certain abuse. But I was there and yes I can picture your playfully happy scene in my minds eye.
I simply could not ask for more my fine literary friend .. much appreciated as always ... now I know I have run the idea past ya before DA .. but now I'm gonna insist we form that cult ...
...... All the very best of all good things sir ...
Neville
The calm of this poemed scene passes into a harbouring dance such as I see on days like these in my neck of the woods - sun and your "tame and tireless waves" lapping in harmony with little boats - - - - - - a truly inspiring piece of writing mon ami.............x

Neville
beautiful rhyme and tone, immersive imagery and crisp clear metaphors,
effortlessly capturing the whimsy in the idyllic scene of carefree childhood it depicts;
such write's could easily be tinged by the grating notes of envy - unknowingly, when viewed through eyes that have lived long enough to know the bitterness of regret,
another brilliant write my oh so talented friend!
You L.B. are far too kind and good for words .. what an absolutely splendid, and otherwise encouraging review you have left here for me sir .. Thank you my friend 🙂
