bored through overkill

dusk arising

dontcha find it boring
i know, i tell ya, i do
every night and morning
the same old spew

.         with every tv program
.         having any kind of chat
.         looking for an angle
.         trying to get in on the act

overkill of comments
on Sars-CoV-2
yes its all covid 19
my tv screen spews

.                         C'MON  NOW  GIVE  IT  A  REST
.                            YOU'RE  GETTING  LIKE  A  PEST
.                                EV'RY  BODY  GETTING  BORED
.                                    AND  PEOPLE  LOSING  INTEREST

Yes you media types
living life of hypes
shut your rattle for a while
with your covid bytes

.        let the news give us facts
.        not yo inane video hacks
.        you make our sickness worse
.        like a bunch of old quacks

be constructive now
time to give us something new
so much time on our hands
craving better from you

.        so go be creative and
.        and get yo ass into gear
.        stop this overkill of covid
.        you're boring too many ears

Your piece reads more like the media programs offerings which my post is complaining about.

      ears bored... love it

        Stay safe.

When I head home on my bike from work in the middle of the night (we often work very late when our legislature is in session) and someone tells me to be safe, my usual wise-ass retort (inherited the irreverent retort gene from my dad) is "Safe is no fun." But I will follow your exhortation this time.

I second your outcry D.A. about being bored by continual media attention to C19 when other issues are being ignored -- -- many like me have given up watching or reading the news until sanity appears again.

I still listen to the news but glaze over when the covid items are covered..... i'm staying home alone except for essential outings for health or shopping..... on max alert... i want to be a survivor. Thanks for joining in with my outcry here.

Yes, it can get boring. Then we may become common-place, forgetting simple things - social distancing, washing hands, etc.

Stay home and pin a notice inside your door lest ye forget.

              Hi duskarising,

              A great write.

Trying to be positive now when there is so much darkness in the world is a daily challenge.

Keep writing ✍ and safe during these challenging times.

I'm staying home and recommend the same to anyone who is in any way vulnerable...... i don't need bombarding with covid trivia on all tv channels..... stay home and tell me when it's over LOL

                Thanks for your kind comment.
