Eye of newt, witches brew
A ghoulish, gaggle mummy crew...
You know what scares me?
I sure do!
Nothing ...but my sister in her
Princess costume!

- Comment from author about the poem: I have four kids; two older boys and two younger girls. When there was three of them (2 brothers and 1 little sister), the little sister would terrorize her big brothers and want to do everything they did. So on Halloween, dressed as a princess, they ran from her like she was scary. I assure you she was not; she was beautiful to dad at least!! The big brothers (4 and 6 at the time) not so much. The boys were so close, best buds. Eventually we had our fourth, a little girl, and they all had great best friends then. The boys were both very close, the girls were very close, but the two middles loved to antagonize each other. Now that they're teenagers, the script has flipped and the two middles are very close, and our book ends are very close. The greatest gift of all though is that they are all still best friends. They still fight like cats and dogs, but they're thick as thieves in the end.

You paint a picture of a loving caring family and a great poem too. You must be so proud of your children and it shows here.
Thank you very much, and I really am very blessed. Thank you for the feedback.
So good to know that your growing family have love and security from a caring Dad and that they have fun at this time of the year too - - staying close is the secret of making a house a real home - thank you for sharing your happy family-times with us.
Thank you, Fay, for the kind words. I hope we always stay close. Blessings to you and your family.
Beautiful, and that's just your Author's comment!
Nothing more pleasing than witnessing testimony of people who not only prioritise the blessing's in their lives but appreciate them and set an example for other's to aspire to.
Thank you, L.B.! I've had many fine examples myself, namely my dad and mom.
