The Dragon

everlong

Where are we when the dragon comes

In comfort or distress

In a bottle or smoke

Or even at our best

I feel it creeping near

Slithering to my nest

Hungry for more

Eating at my chest

Im weary and tired

Of nothing but the stress

Searching for my bed

Though I've done nothing but rest

The dragon will feed

When Im put to the test

How much longer can I go

On this arduous quest

Interesting, I suppose the dragon could be something different for each of us and this poem makes me wonder what it means to you.

Keep your armour on and battle that dragon with peace and love, it will go away.
