Hiding Behind New Dust

Hiding Behind New Dust

Looking back

there was, without a shadow

of a doubt, a certain beauty there

Albeit trapped and shrouded

caught and held firm

on those high narrow ledges

And again, within

such deep crevices, like those

we once found hidden and then lost

Yes, that is where it so often

went unnoticed despite such an

extraordinary spark at the heart of it

Where stained glass

stands as a sharp testimony

to the new dust that now surrounds it

This is a class thing i'm sure.... the only dust i got was on my Airfix kits dangling from the ceiling. The ones my dear brother used to love to aim pieces of folded cardboard at, propelled by an ack ack elastic band.

      A fine write Neville.
Blame me teacher - one said to us 'Sing loud, so as to dislodge the dust from the ceiling'. So I did - and not stopped yet! lol. I'm covered in dust now. (Do shut up, Orchi. lol).

When we remove the dust from our lives we always see what beauty we had during that life.
