Delightful Dwellings - Isaiah Series (16)

Tune: Repton

('Dear Lord and Father of mankind')

Isaiah 32 v.14-18

***********

The land desolate it sure be

Until the spirit, see

Be poured upon us from on high

And then we sense God's presence nigh

He will not us deny

He will not us deny

Then wilderness be fruitful field

It shall fresh produce yield

Fruitful field counted as forest

Giving abundance, God shall bless

He good, our lips confess

He good, our lips confess

Then judgement it shall dwell therein

And righteousness, not sin

Shall remain in the fruitful field

It be not barren, but be healed

God's workings here revealed

God's workings there revealed

And work of righteousness shall be

Peace, and its effect, see

Shall be quietness, assurance

God's people dwell peacable hence

Quiet, restful residence

Quiet, restful residence
