Tune: Quebec

('Jesu, thou joy of loving hearts')

Isaiah 33 v.20-22

*********

Look upon Zion, the city

Of our solemnities it be

You shall see Jerusalem, it

A quiet habitation fit

It shall be as a tabernacle

Shall not be taken down, not fall

Not one of the staked shall ever

Be removed, it shall fail never

Not one of the cords be broken

It shall stand permanent, sure then

But there the glorious LORD, He

Shall be there with us constantly

He will be unto us a place

Of broad rivers and streams, calm pace

Wherein no ship with oars is seen

No human effort great or mean

And no gallant ship shall pass by

Pride, arrogance, it be not nigh

For the LORD is our judge, and He

Too is our lawgiver, so be

He is our king, save us He will

We partake of waters fresh, still

His the glory and all praise be

Now and throughout eternity
