Asking

Fay Slimm.

Asking.

Make me a mask

of autumn-sown action.

Unclothe my resistance to late compliance.

Let my sheltered

outlook yield to your asking.

Curve acquiescence by frequent prescribing.

Keep no distance

when shy turns half-hearted and

your persistent Yes kisses my stifled sighs.
