Poppy (An Acrostic for Remembrance Sunday)

AuburnScribbler

Poised thoughts return; to commemorate

Overwhelming loss, but also tremendous bravery,

Parades are cancelled this year, but we will still march

Proudly, side by side in spirit, endeavouring

Year by year; to keep the relative peace we have.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I would like to share this acrostic poem with you all; that I have written especially for the occasion, accompanied by Tomorrow Will Be A Good Day from the War Poppy Collection by remembrance artist Jacqueline Hurley ~ featuring Captain Tom Moore. I hope you enjoy, and a massive vote of thanks goes to all of those who have, do and will protect our great nation. Much love to you all.
